My research spans across different classes of materials at different lenght scales and fields, with work experiences in different coutries. In 2003 I moved from Colombia to Belgium and later to Spain where I pursued my doctoral studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and developed new Ti alloys with shape memory and superelasticity for biomedical applications. In 2009 I moved toward composite materials for aviation at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center with Boeing (England) and in 2012 I started to perform research on semiconducting nanomaterials at Nanochemistry in IIT (Italy).  Since 2019 I am a Researcher in IIT where I focus on the preparation and full structural (including in situ TEM studies) and optical characterization of emitting nano-objects obtained in solution.
